How to create a Threshold Definition

The Threshold user interface let you to add, delete and update the thresholds, so you can manage your thresholds library and link every threshold to different KPIs.

As Administrator User click on : KPI Model -> Threshold Definition

Add a Threshold

Add a new Threshold clicking on IconAdd.png

Fill the properties in the Detail form:

  • Name: name of the Threshold
  • Code: mnemonic code. Name and Code are displayed in the list. The Code is also displayed in the tree view of the Models.
  • Description: it describes the Threshold
  • Threshold type: it defines the type of the associated values:
    • RANGE

In order to obtain a kpi chart like this KPIChart.png

Click on IconSave.png to create the threeshold.

Add Threshold Ranges

Click on the "Values Tab" to add ones.

  • Position: it's used to defines the range sequence
  • Label: it's the label of this range, it will be displayed on the graph
  • Min Value: it defines the minimum value of the range
  • Include?: include/exclude the minimum value (for example True include the value 80.00) in the range 80.00 – 90.00
  • Max value: it defines the maximum value of the range
  • Include?: include/exclude the maximum value (for example False exclude the value 80.00) in the range 0.00 – 80.00
  • Severity: it's used to give a special meaning to the threshold when the KPI value is contained into this range limits.
  • Color: it defines the color of this range in the kpi chart


Click on IconSave.png to create the range.
