Root Node
The first operation to do, after an new model definition creation, is to add the Root Node of the model.
- Label: unique identifier for the node
- Code: mnemonic code, it will be displayed in the tree view (it's mandatory and it must be different for the sibling nodes)
- Description: the description of the node
- KPI: specify the KPI to bind to the current model node. It's possible to drag and drop one from the KPI list (expanded panel on the right). The KPI has to be already available, otherwise create one using the KPI Detail form.
- Node Type: select one of the available types (Root or Generic node). These values are pre-configured into the platform but they are customizable. For example, defining a CMMI model the node types values could be: CMMI-Root, CMMI-Area, CMMI-Practices, CMMI-Metric; defining a Goal Question Metrics Model the node types values could be: GQM-Root, Goal, Question, Metric.
