Data Set

It's used to perform the computation of the KPI value and need to be selected during the KPI configuration.

In general the Data Source is where the row data, used to compute the KPIs, are extracted from. They are, for example, the repositories of the project management and development tools used to support the software development processes or the IT services.

These are the operations of Extract, Transform and Load of the measure from a Data Source to a Data Interface of the Spago4Q data warehouse.

It's a specialized component to collect measure attributes from a specific Data Source Type.

It's the component that defines the output data structure to load into the data warehouse for ETL procedures. They create a decoupling layer between the specific Data Sources and the KPI analysis.

The term is indifferently used to indicate a metric (basic or derived)  or a Key Performance Indicator. The KPI is associated to Threshold, Data Set, KPI Document, …).

It’s the SpagoBI analytical document that has to be defined to represent a Model Instance in a dashboard like view.

It's the internal SpagoBI engine that execute the computation of each KPI value using the associated Data Set.

Feature that enable you to create an abstract model (CMMi, ISO, Custom) with KPI associated.

It's built from a Model Definition and can replicate all its nodes or a sub-tree of them. The Model Instance is associated to one or more Resources. During the Model Instance definition it’s possible modify the KPI associated to every node as well as the KPI configuration itself.

The entity to be measure, it can be a project, an IT service, a business service or a generic formalized process.
